Our wonderful parent/carer volunteers assisted with the cooking and serving of pancakes on Tuesday morning
On Tuesday the 13th of February, students, staff and parent/carer volunteers came together to celebrate Pancake Tuesday at St John's Primary.
Pancake Tuesday marks the day before the commencement of the Lenten season, which will continue until the 29th of March.
We would like to thank Belinda Murray, Josephine Sultana, Lisa Maggio, Alison Laurie, Sarah Fuller, Chloe Walsh, Jane Stanton and Jessica Stone who cooked, cleaned and served on the day; without such generosity, these events would not be possible.
Donations on the day raised an amazing $170.00 for Caritas Australia. Caritas shares the mission of the Catholic Church to serve the poor and to promote charity and justice throughout the world.
Overall, the day was a great success with students enjoying their pancakes to mark the beginning of Lent, and raising valuable money for a great cause.
Again, we would like to thank the staff and volunteers who worked to ensure that this event was possible.

We also continued with the tradition of passing the flame from this years leaders to next years. Thank you Jayden and Ishana for guiding us in 2025. Today was the last lesson for Kitchen Garden in 2025! Thank you to Miss Di who has helped us learn so much about the garden and how we can incorporate our knowledge of fresh fruit and vegetables in our cooking! We have had so much fun this year following recipes, creating delicious meals, planting a variety of fresh produce, and learning about the environment! 🥦🫛👩🍳🧑🍳

We had so much fun today on our Christmas Mufti Day! 🎄🎅What an exciting way to spend the first day of December! It was so nice to see and hear about all our families who have also donated to our appeal to help purchase presents for those children less fortunate than us this Christmas season. There is still time to donate- and we look forward to spreading joy this Advent! 💜🙏

Congratulations to Aanya who went and represented St John's at the CSPD Gymnastics Gala Day! 🤸♀️ We are so proud of how well you did and how beautifully you represented St John's! 🤩 Our superstar gymnast came away with a gold in vault, a silver in mini tramp and a bronze in her static routine. This meant Aanya received a bronze medal overall on the day! 🥉 Great work Aanya!
