Our wonderful community preparing to march in the Parade
Our children, parents and staff showed that they are made of ‘stern stuff’ as they walked the Riverstone Parade in the rain.
The day consisted of various marches in Riverstone, followed by performances and stalls.
We would also like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to Mrs Noden for preparing the children for their performance at the Festival. The audience appreciated their enthusiasm for singing. It was a stirring performance
Naturally, a number of people were needed on Saturday to setup and decorate the gazebo; set out the food items and serve; as well as a number of volunteers to bake and package the ‘goodies’. Thank you to everyone who contributed in any way at the festival. Your support contributed to the success of all the events.

Yesterday morning our students represented St John’s at the Riverstone Dawn Service and laid a wreath on our behalf. Thank you to our parents who brought their children to pay their respects. Lest We Forget ❤️

Today our students, led by Stage 3, commemorated ANZAC Day tomorrow with a ceremony and prayer. We reflected on the service and sacrifice of the Australian and New Zealand Army. Students around the school made red poppies as a mark of respect.

This week we reflected on the events of Holy Week. Our students displayed beautiful reverence as we recounted the important events in our Catholic Faith. When we return to school, we will celebrate the joy of the Resurrection. We wish all our families a safe and happy break.

700+ Unite for Project Compassion Big Water Walk
More than 700 students and staff from 23 schools across Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) came together for Caritas Australia’s Big Water Walk in support of Project Compassion. Beginning at Parramatta Park, students carried buckets of water along a 4km route, gaining a glimpse of the daily journey faced by people in developing communities, especially women and children, in search of clean water.
