Year 4 are having so much fun procedural writing this term! They have been sharing family recipes and reading lots of different types of procedural texts. ❤️ Today, they joined together to follow a recipe and bake a cake! 🎂 Making changes as they needed when they felt the instructions were not specific enough. What a fun lesson! 🤩

What a great night for Stage 3- lots of reflecting on all we have to be grateful for in our lives. 🥰 Thank you to those who helped organise the Vinnies Winter Sleep out- and to Helena from St Vincent De Paul who came to speak to our children about the wonderful work they do, and how we can help those in need. It was so nice to see our students really embrace the night, and write thoughtful hope cards for those who need a pick me up! 🙏

On Monday, we had our Athletics Carnival!🏃🏃‍♀️ We were proud to see our competitors try their hardest but also support one another with great sportsmanship and school spirit! 🤩 It was a wonderful day- thank you to Mrs Tolhurst, our parent volunteers and the student volunteers from Santa Sophia! Without you, we would not be able to run these events, so we really appreciate all your support and effort!🥰

This term in Creative Arts, our students have been developing their art skills with Mrs Noden! 🧑‍🎨🎨 Kindergarten students have been learning to explore and create lines and patterns. They enjoy using paints to create their artworks. Stage 1 students have been learning about the colour wheel. They have used primary colours to create an artwork inspired by the artist Piet Mondrian. Stage 2 students have been exploring lines and patterns. They have created an artwork of Uluru inspired by the artist Bronwyn Bancroft. Stage 3 students have been exploring different artists and examining their techniques to inspire their own artwork. Currently, students are working on a landscape artwork inspired by the artist Vincent van Gogh.
